We are seeking a skilled Electrical Estimation Engineer to join our team and contribute to the success of our industrial projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, combined with expertise in estimation and project management. The Electrical Estimation Engineer will play a crucial role in analyzing project requirements, preparing accurate cost estimates, and supporting the project team throughout the execution phase.
Qualifications:
Diploma / Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Masters degree is a plus.
Proven experience (5+ years) in electrical estimation for industrial projects, preferably in [Electrical Industries Private Sector].
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, standards, and construction practices.
Proficiency in estimation software/tools such as [Insert Software/Tools].
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical documents and drawings.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy and precision in estimating project costs.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with project management methodologies and techniques.
Professional certifications (e.g., Certified Cost Professional, Project Management Professional) are desirable but not required.
Responcibilities :
- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to understand electrical requirements for industrial projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive electrical estimates for bidding purposes.
- Utilize estimation software and tools to accurately calculate material, labor, and other costs associated with electrical installations.
- Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, including material quantities, labor hours, subcontractor costs, equipment rentals, and other project expenses.
- Identify potential risks and opportunities during the estimation process and provide recommendations to optimize project costs and timelines.
- Review and evaluate subcontractor bids and proposals to ensure competitiveness and compliance with project requirements.
- Support business development efforts by participating in client meetings, presenting cost estimates, and addressing technical inquiries.
- Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to obtain competitive pricing for electrical materials and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, contracts, change orders, and other project-related documentation.
- Assist project managers in developing project schedules, resource plans, and budget forecasts based on the approved estimates.
- Provide technical assistance and guidance to project teams during the execution phase to ensure adherence to electrical design specifications and quality standards.
- Participate in project post-mortem reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for continuous improvement in the estimation process.
